Moulay Driss Zerhoun, Morocco, Africa
At the end of last week it was announced that citizens and residents of Morocco and, as of September 6, foreign nationals of visa-exempt countries (which includes U.S citizens) with valid Moroccan hotels reservations and business people invited by Moroccan companies are allowed to enter and depart Morocco.
I'll admit, I was skeptical. We still are not able to travel freely throughout Morocco however tourists will be? It seems unusual. But, I have heard now from several people that they had no issues arriving into Morocco, or departing the country following this new protocol and that they have been enjoying their touristic trips to Morocco without constraint. So, if you've really been waiting to visit, are willing to deal with some inconsistencies, want to see Morocco with basically zero tourists and with unmissable offers, now is your chance.
Business travelers and visitors from the following 67 visa-exempt countries who have confirmed hotel reservations and presented a negative COVID-19 PCR test no older than 48 hours may travel to Morocco:
– European Union Members
– United Kingdom
– United States
– Canada
– Australia
– New Zealand
I highly recommend checking and double checking the requirements with the Moroccan embassy in your home country before booking travel and having a solid travel insurance that has COVID protection as a part of its offer.
